He/she will offer functional guidance to coordinate the efforts of and receive advice from employees within his/her department on matters within their respective provinces.Successfully document, standardized, best practices and measure towards sustainment and raised improvements.Support process improvements that link to the strategic operational directions of the business unit.Assign, direct, and assist in the preparation of workstation and work area layout for new, revised, or proposed procedures and equipment.Train and coach Operations in the proper use of Lean Six Sigma process improvement tools to ensure timely project completions. Monitor key metric performance and improvements and support process owners to clearly link project metrics to strategic operational objectives using Business Process Management principles.Develop and deliver presentations to all levels of employees and management.A successful candidate should demonstrate skills in team building, material flow systems, lead time compression, and standard work. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Engineering from an accredited university, or related field experience in process improvement in a manufacturing environment. Expertise in Lean Value Stream Mapping and waste-reduction tools of the Toyota Production System. Waste elimination in both transactional and manufacturing processes.
Minimum of 2-5 years of process improvement experience in a heavy or equivalent manufacturing environment. Operations experience is highly desired.
Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%)
