Primary Duties

+ Execute janitorial duties at HAFB to include, but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming assigned areas, high and low dusting, and emptying trash.
+ Assist in transporting crews to assigned work areas daily.
+ Perform a specific designated task – i.e. train, floor scheduler, supervise swing or 4x10 shift.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
+ May perform supervisory duties in the absence of their supervisor.
+ Conduct quality inspections on janitorial workers.
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)
+ High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
+ Two years’ prior custodial experience required.
+ Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
+ Abilty to pass and maintain clearance for the HAFB background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Must be able to communicate verbally and written in English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
+ Must be familiar with HAFB building locations.
+ Must be familiar with work assigned for shift to be completed.
Supervision Received
The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working inside buildings and occasionally exposed to weather if walking between work sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet unless working on the flightline where noise level is moderate.
