1995 Broadway - New York, New York 10023The Lead User Experience (UX) Writer will shape product experiences by creating conversational and influential messaging that facilitates our customer journey across all applications. The ideal candidate will have a UX writing portfolio that demonstrates a keen ability to simplify and enhance the end-to-end user experience.The Lead UX Writer also owns the development and ongoing management of UX writing guidelines and best practices for the company, working with the Product Design team and Laurel Road's Head of Design & Cont to establish messaging goals and roadmaps for continued optimization. UX research and testing of content managed by the Lead UX Writer (and team) will provide insights that will improve the user experience through optimized messaging and, ultimately, drive conversion.Finally, the Lead UX Writer’s collaboration with internal stakeholders in Marketing, Legal/Compliance, and Product, among others, will drive the development of cohesive language and a unified voice across all products and platforms.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uses sharp writing and editing skills to create all customer-facing dialogue, including prospect- and customer-focused messaging, promotional messaging, in-app messaging, error and alt-path messaging, instructional dialogue, marketing and service emails, and all other written components of the end-to-end user experience.Develops and drives a cohesive voice and tone for customer-facing language across Laurel Road product suite or subject-matter domain and ensures cohesive product narratives.Develops, tests, and documents UX writing guidelines and processes; establishes best practices and strategic principles.Engages content management colleagues to identify and bring forward targeted content for users throughout the customer journey, including the in-app experience.Influences cross-functional partners by demonstrating the value of UX writing as a key element of the product development and customer journey mapping process.Creates user flow and/or customer journey presentations in Figma, Adobe Xd, Miro, and PowerPoint.Contributes to product creation, refinement, and strategic initiatives within the UX team, working with designers to advocate for the best possible user experience and fulfill business priorities.Strives to develop efficiencies and solid processes for delivering concepts and assets. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $77,000.00 to $143,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
