Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Thermoforming Systems Engineer (Capital Projects) who has a desire to contribute to our clients’ success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of the Green Bay, WI office or US-Based Remote location.Primary Responsibilities:Lead technical direction for CapEx projects in the thermoformed container production industry Leverage modern technologies to provide innovative process solutions that improve speed, quality, and costs of manufactureAssist in the development and vetting of multi-year strategic production plansAssist in the optimization of existing plant processes to deploy best-in-class plastic container manufacturing techniques and value-added engineeringAdhere to all required safety practices, while ensuring regulatory compliance through risk mitigationDevelop complete thermoforming systems deliverables from concept through construction, including: blending, extrusion, forming, and plastics trimmingPrepare and give technical reviews to clients regarding project-related itemsEstimate process engineering hours and schedule for proposalsCoordinate with other project disciplines, clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop deliverablesDevelop equipment specifications for CapEx project procurementDevelop process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)Develop equipment lists, line lists, and POC listsDevelop operation specificationsWork with designers to create drawingsWrite installation scope documentsOversee and QC engineering work of others (e.g., drawings, calculations, designs, etc.)Lead checkout/start-up efforts associated with project work, and provide onsite/remote construction supportProvide technical leadership and manage other process discipline project membersCoach and mentor others as required on technological advancementsAbility to travel as needed with anticipation of 35% annuallyRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer/Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical experience10+ years of professional experienceRequired previous experience with the following:Engineered Package development including Scope of Work, P&IDs, Specifications & Mechanical Equipment Arrangements.Thermoformed plastics engineering processesUnderstanding of various plastics properties (PP, PET, PS, PLA, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Experience utilizing 3D tools such as Navisworks, Plant 3D, VR, and 3D ScansWhy Foth: Established Reputation: With over 86 years of experience, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a values-based, client-centered, and flexible work environment, with ample professional growth opportunities and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 92+% member retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.
