Job Description:

The Lead Technologist for Radiology/CT will include the following responsibilities:

Functions as Team Leader to coordinate patient schedules and work assignments to assure timely performance of examinations for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients. Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of staff work schedules. Collaborates with supervisor on assessments of employee performance and disciplinary concerns. Participates in the interview/selection process of new hires. Participates in policy development, revisions, and enforcement relating to diagnostic radiology operations as required. Coordinates communications between staff and supervisor relating to workflow, protocols, and patient care. Participates in training for staff relating to radiation safety, equipment operation, and clinical competencies. Oversees and participates in quality assurance / quality control activities as required. Maintains Radiation Safety badges and high dose follow ups. Assumes role of staff radiographer or CT Technologist as required.
