The Global Technology & Operations team is seeking a highly skilled Lead System Engineer to join our dedicated IT team. This critical role involves supporting all of the team’s ASPR (Application Service Provider Registry) and Disaster Recovery models. The ideal candidate will also serve as the subject matter expert for Proofpoint TRAP (Threat Response Auto Pull), ensuring our systems are resilient, secure, and capable of recovering from any disruptions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution: 

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery strategies and plans. 

Conduct regular disaster recovery drills and simulations to ensure the effectiveness of plans and readiness of the team. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical systems and ensure their recovery priorities are accurately reflected in disaster recovery plans. 

ASPR Management: 

Oversee the management and maintenance of the Application Service Provider Registry. 

Ensure all applications and services are accurately documented, including their recovery procedures and dependencies. 

Work closely with application owners to keep the registry up-to-date and in compliance with company policies. 

Proofpoint TRAP Expertise: 

Serve as the subject matter expert for Proofpoint TRAP, overseeing its deployment, configuration, and ongoing management. 

Develop and implement policies and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of Proofpoint TRAP in identifying and mitigating email-based threats. 

Provide training and guidance to team members on the use of Proofpoint TRAP. 

System Engineering, Support and Security: 

Participant in the maintenance of systems and infrastructure related to AT&T’s e-mail environment. 

Ensure systems are designed with high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery in mind. 

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for system issues. 

Ensure all systems and processes comply with relevant security standards and regulations. 

Documentation and Reporting: 

Help to develop and maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery plans, system configurations, and procedures. 

Prepare and present reports on disaster recovery readiness, system performance, and security incidents. 

Required Skills: 

5 - 8 years' experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Experience with Proofpoint platform 

Desired Skills: 

Experience in system engineering, disaster recovery planning, and application management. 

Ideally some experience with the use and management of Proofpoint TRAP. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. 

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

Desired Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. 

Our Lead System Engineering earns between $128,400 - $215,800 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
