Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesLead and supervise the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followedSupervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assignedTrain all Kitchen StewardsReview banquet event orders and ensure all set-ups and supplies are in placeOversee and perform the following tasks:Operate an industrial dish machineEnsure all Colleagues have the dishes, silverware and glasses requiredSort, stack dishes, and load/unload dish machine Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe mannerEnsure all broken and chipped items are removed from circulation, reported and inventoriedEnsure floors are dry and clean at all timesEnsure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repairRemove debris and trash to designated areas throughout shiftClean and sanitize all pots, pans, and dishes by hand and using dish machinesFollow department policies, procedures and service standardsMaintain a clean and safe work environment, including all equipment and storage spacesOther duties as assigned

Previous experience in a Stewarding department preferredStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferredBilingual in Spanish preferredAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Demands

This position requires:

Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
