Lead/Sr. Financial Analyst Food & Industrial Ingredients US/Canada

The Food & Industrial Ingredients US/Canada (F&II US/Canada) business is an externally reportable business segment for Ingredion generating annual net sales exceeding $2 billion, gross profit surpassing $400 million, and operating income of over $300 million with a strong track record of operational excellence, financial stability, and growth.

This role is responsible for supporting and continuously improving the F&II US/Canada financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes and assisting the development of business and financial strategies as well as analysis of operating results.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic and Operational PlanningServe as business partner and contributor to growth strategies, tactics, mid and long-range planning, ensuring that current revenue-generating strategies create value for Ingredion.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.Provide insights to segment leaders on the financial implications of business activities; make recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance.Support the development of operating policies and procedures and improvement programs for the attainment of segment objectives.Foster alignment between strategic goals and operational execution.Contribute to the end-to-end process for developing, consolidating, and reporting the segment’s 5-year Strategic Plan ensuring the business meets global financial targets, verifying submissions are accurate and complete, identifying areas for growth, and mitigating financial risks through scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

Financial ReportingPrepare and present all monthly and quarterly comprehensive financial reports, including segment income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Conduct thorough analyses of financial performance, highlighting key drivers and areas for improvement.Engage in regular business reviews with executives, offering actionable recommendations.Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

AnalysisInvestigate and explain deviations from budgeted, forecasted, and prior period figures.Collaborate with department heads to understand underlying causes and propose corrective actions.Track different performance aspects of our businesses, products, and plants and provide applicable feedback to ensure achievement of segment targets. Provide insights into the impact of variances on overall financial health.Provide financial modeling and sensitivity analysis around broad and in-depth internal and external factors.

Budgeting/ForecastingSupport the annual F&II US/Canada budgeting (Goal) process and the periodic forecast updates during the calendar year, by working cross-functionally with all stakeholders (Commercial, Operations, etc.) to establish annual financial goals and properly identify risks and opportunities. Begin process of moving the segment to a rolling forecast process to improve timeliness and accuracy of financial forecasts.

Continuous ImprovementExecute special projects that focus on process improvements advancing an owner’s mindset and cost reduction at all levels across the segment.Create value by implementing action plans to enhance profit margins across the business.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific business challenges.Present findings and recommendations to senior management.Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency gains.Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations for F&II US/Canada and Ingredion leaders.

Human ResourcesEnsure professional development to advance individual performance, organizational capability, succession planning, and recognition.

Qualified candidate will have:

Strong relationship building, influencing and communication skills.Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.Must have 3+ years of finance planning experiences, preferably in food and beverage industry.Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel skills.Must be able to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience using ERP systems.Experience planning, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with SAP, SAP BW, and BPC preferred.Limited travel required.

Pay Range:

$95,300.00-$127,100.00 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
