Job responsibilities

Lead the strategy for our UI estate, driving best practices on UX, architecture and integration with our Back end componentsExecute creative software solutions, design, develop and innovate across a full stack suite of applications.Think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsEngage directly with our Product Owners and stakeholders to drive the delivery of novel solutionsMentor and guide the next generation of software engineersDevelop secure high-quality production code, and collaborate with peers to review and debug codeIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureInvestigate and triage new technologies that can provide benefit to the platform, engage with senior partners to introduce these to the stackLead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdd to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experienceAdvanced knowledge on front end technologies - Typescript, AngularJS, React, Vite, Jest, D3 and related libraries/FrameworksStrong knowledge of back end technologies - Java, SpringHands-on experience managing a book of work independently and engaging directly with stakeholders and product ownersHands-on experience with UX best practices and practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experiencePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsHands on experience with Kubernetes (Or CKAD certification)Knowledge with MQ, Kafka
