They are seeking a visionary Lead Software Engineer specializing in motion planning to lead our dynamic team in developing innovative algorithms and systems that drive the next generation of robotic and autonomous applications. As a key player on their engineering team, you’ll be responsible for architecting and implementing advanced motion planning solutions that ensure precision, efficiency, and safety.


Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus. 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on motion planning or related areas. Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing complex projects. Expertise in motion planning algorithms and techniques (e.g., RRT, PRM, A*, CHOMP). Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or ROS. Experience with simulation tools and frameworks (e.g., Gazebo, RViz). Strong understanding of robotics, kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for tackling challenging engineering problems. A track record of contributing to innovative projects or research in robotics or motion planning. Desired Skills & Experience Experience with real-time systems and constraints. Familiarity with machine learning techniques for motion planning. Experience in the autonomous vehicle or industrial robotics domain. What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown C++ Motion Planning Algorithms Daily Responsibilities Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while overseeing project timelines and deliverables. Design, develop, and optimize motion planning algorithms and software systems for complex robotic platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability. Drive the research and implementation of state-of-the-art motion planning techniques, including but not limited to sampling-based methods, optimization-based methods, and learning-based approaches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and researchers, to integrate motion planning solutions with robotic systems and sensors. Continuously improve existing algorithms and systems for efficiency, scalability, and real-time performance. Develop and execute rigorous testing protocols to validate motion planning solutions in simulated and real-world environments.
