Overview
•\tSoftware development engineering in Mastercard code application is a dedicated team of software developers leading the development transformation and working to facilitate best DevOps practices across MasterCard’s technology organization. This position supports the Payment Networks Clearing-GCMS software development function.
•\tRequires hands on experience in industry standard developer tools, design, develop, test , implement and support the solutions throughout the software development cycle

Role
•\tLead planning, design & technical solutions to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
•\tLead day to day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market.
•\tAccountable for full systems development life cycle including creating high quality requirements documents, use-cases, design and other technical artifacts including but not limited to detailed test strategy/test design, performance benchmarking, release rollout and deployment plans, contingency/back-out plans, feasibility study, cost and time analysis and detailed estimates.
•\tPerform system maintenance, production incident problem management, identification of root cause, remediation of the problems and on-call pager support schedule. Select appropriate technical frameworks and solution delivery methodology.
•\tAdapt to the technical artifact templates per the needs of the project and technology. Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place. Maintain solution and technology road maps.
•\tResearch and evaluate current and upcoming technologies and frameworks.
•\tParticipate in PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the Department with selection of Vendor Solutions, Technologies, Methodologies and Frameworks.
•\tCollaborate with Vendor Resources for Support of Products.
•\tFollow and promote Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes in the department. Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency. Mentor and guide other team members during all phases of the SDLC. Ensure adequate test coverage in Unit Testing, System Testing/Integration
•\tTesting and Performance Testing. Perform Quality Inspections and Walkthroughs throughout the SDLC including Requirements Review, Design Review, Code Review and Security Review to ensure compliance with MasterCard standards.

•\tIT experience in all phases of the development lifecycle
•\tExposure in technologies in mainframe such as JCL, DB2, COBOL, File-Aid-DB2, STROBE , XPEDITER , ENDEVOR , OPC scheduler , TWS scheduler (Required)
•\tHigh-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and have the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment (Required)
•\tProvide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
•\tPossesses strong communication skills -- both verbal and written, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
•\tWillingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of diverse and geographically distributed project team.
•\tAbility to create automation scripts and integrate with Continuous integration and deployment pipeline (Jenkins/XLR) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover) to ensure higher code/conditional coverage. (Preferred)
•\tExperience in working in Agile Methodology. (Preferred)
•\tKnowledge in migrating from mainframe to Cloud/micro-services. (Preferred)
•\tExperience of working with other developers to ensure that systems are designed for reliability, performance and testability.(Preferred)
•\tDomain knowledge in Core Payments specifically around Knowledge in Transaction processing (Preferred)
