As a Lead Engineer on the team, you will play a key role on a creating and nimble engineering team delivering a new full-stack B2B product and provide technical leadership to junior members of the team.
Day to day, this would involve:
Build sophisticated fault-tolerant distributed services in scala and full-functioned frontend applications in angularParticipate in all states of the development lifecycleContinuously refine our delivery process to speed solutions to our customersRecommend and adopt the latest technologies, tools, methods, and processes, introducing the rest of us to tomorrow’s best solutionsMentor and guide other engineersProvide technical design and architecture for various features Lead other team members in sub-projects to further our business goals Who are you?Programming chops
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with 7+ years experience in developing softwareDeep experience and expertise in scalaSpark, Flink, Kafka, or other high-volume, low-latency technologiesExcellent coding skills, with the drive to learn and apply new technologiesClear evidence of modern product-development skills: microservices, Rest/GraphQL, multiple levels of testing (unit, component, end-to-end)Build, deploy, deliver, repeat
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS CloudFormation)Adept at implementing CI/CD, along with the full gamut of product delivery know-how: builds, releases, monitoring, log-sleuthing, support, etc.Leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience leading and mentoring other engineersDemonstrated experience producing technical designs to solve complex problemsExtra Credit
