Your tasks and responsibilities:
As Lead Software Architect (f/m/d) you are part of our CT architecture team and take on full responsibility for designing the architecture and pre-developing cutting-edge software solutions that enable our customers to process and analyze CT images efficiently and accuratelyWorking closely with product owners, project management, and clinical support, you will be instrumental in converting clinical requirements into scalable, practical, and reliable software solutionsYou will closely collaborate with our global development teams (e.g., in Bangalore), ensuring alignment and seamless integration of software implementations across different locationsYou will take charge of guiding and coaching team members, making clear and sustainable technical decisions that ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to cost targetsYou will promote ongoing improvements and redesigns of the architecture, adapting it to new technologies and evolving platforms to fully harness their potential and maintain a competitive edgeAs a coding architect, you will drive the development of prototypes, exploring and defining viable implementation options to advance our software solutionsIn collaboration with colleagues from the architecture and software development departments, you will address overarching architectural issues and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of shared code components and tools

Your qualifications and experience:
You hold a degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, or possess equivalent qualificationsYou have many years of professional experience in developing and designing complex software systems in highly regulated environments like medical software applications and in collaboration with cross-functional teams, making sound technical decisions to help achieve both short- and long-term goalsYou are certified in software architecture (e.g., SWA from Siemens) or possess in-depth knowledge of architectural methods like clean architecture, domain-driven design (DDD), and modularizationYou are skilled in analyzing and improving large existing codebases, understanding complex relationships, and working both independently and with technical and non-technical colleaguesYou have significant experience developing desktop applications using C# and .NET, and ideally, with Siemens Healthineers' native-/syngo-based software productsA solid understanding of workflows and data flows in radiology is a plus
