As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions. 

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, test and deploy Java and Python applications to DEV, Test and PROD environments Work with product owners to gather requirements, understand, design scalable and secure applications. Work in an agile environment and deliver features in 2 week sprint cycles Perform security validation, performance tuning and apply software engineering best practices. Support/maintain applications post-production deployment (DevOps) Develop enterprise scale applications including RESTful/microservices using Java spring, spring boot, ORM, python, Oracle and noSQL database Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines in both on-prem and public cloud environments Write unit/integration test cases for the application modules. Create Software documentation and operational run books

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands on experience working in Java: Spring, Spring boot frameworks Hands on experience in RESTful/microservices  Hands on experience developing and deploying applications in AWS - EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, eks, API gateway etc Hands on experience working on relational/NoSql databases, SQL and ORM technologies(JPA, hibernate etc.,) Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented concepts, analysis and design using common design patterns
