**Responsibilities:**
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Plans, organizes and conducts operations that affect the revenue cycle (e.g., billing, collections, payment processing). Develops and implements processes to meet revenue cycle goals in collaboration with medical practices. Conducts related training, monitoring, analysis and reporting on revenue cycle processes and results. Develops and implements practice-specific process improvement recommendations. Provides key revenue cycle metrics reporting. Provides tools and analysis to all levels of management to monitor medical and operational performance. Compiles and reports on all professional billing data, monitors data imports, basic system maintenance, training and data research. Acts as resource for medical cost of care estimates. Mentors and trains new or lower level staff.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Supports priorities assigned by leadership. Acts as a resource for staff. Interprets direction and provides guidance to staff where necessary. Keeps current on relevant areas of knowledge. Functions as department leader in the absence of a supervisor/manager.
+ Understands and interprets insurance Explanations of Benefits (EOBS) and researches and resolves complex claims. Makes any necessary corrections in the practice management system to ensure maximum reimbursement for all department physician services. Identifies reasons for payment discrepancies.
+ Identifies and escalates issues and trends to management. Recommends solutions to resolve issues and improve operations. Facilitates staff training on new processes or identified quality issues.
+ Provides feedback regarding staff performance to leadership team. Works with management on any process changes and impacts to staff.
+ Cultivates and maintains professional relationships with primary customers within area of responsibility and across the organization to foster opportunities for revenue enhancement, enhanced customer service, and learning and development.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
+ Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience required
+ Or equivalent combination of education and experience
