The Research Engineer dupports the research and development of novel medical devices and works within an interdisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to develop devices and combinational drug (biologic) device systems.

Responsibilities Independently formulate project definitions based on identifying clinical needs, device concepts, functional prototypes and appropriate testing plansAnalyze, organize and present data to the teamDocument research and development process through lab notebooks or other accepted methodsLead and assist in the development of experiments, execution, analysis of results, and interpretation and reporting of resultsDevelop, optimize and validate test protocols, assays and other analytical methods for evaluating device properties and performanceUtilize innovation and creative problem-solving technicques to develop and implement cutting edge medical devices and technologies, overcoming complex engineering challenges and driving product excellenceMentor and develop engineers fostering an environment of collaborative knowledge sharing and continuous learningMust work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization to achieve company goalsMust strictly adhere to safety requirementsMaintain regular and punctual attendanceMust maintain company quality and quantity standardsMust have effective oral and written communication throughout various levels of the global organizationAbility to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervisionAbility to remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations Qualifications PhD in engineering or engineering technology with four years relevant experience; orMS degree and same with five years or Levant experience; orBS degree in same with seven years relevant experienceStrong practical knowledge of project management principles
