Make a Difference
The Lead Radiation Therapist performs radiation therapist duties associated with the daily function of the Radiation department and serves as a backup to the department manager. The Lead Radiation Therapist will be responsible for efficient operation of modern, complex treatment equipment, and performing quality assurance duties.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Ensures that all procedures are performed in compliance with regulatory guidelines Produce and process images for Radiation Oncologist viewing Coordinates with physicists, dosimetrists, and physicians on any issues, trouble shooting, and educational needs Leads and coaches’ other therapists by utilizing in-service programs and education Prepares patient for treatment explaining basic procedures including noises, and movement of machine, means of observation and communication during treatment Education: Graduate of an ARRT accredited school of Radiation Therapy (required) Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Certification (required) Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (required)
