Position Title: Lead Quality Process Auditor

Position Summary:
The Lead Quality Process Auditor is responsible for working with the Quality Supervisor & Quality Engineers in developing and maintaining standardized work instructions for product and process inspections. This position will have responsibility to perform inspections during core hours while supporting the Quality Inspection team as needed with training, problem solving, and workload coverage.
This position may require above normal overtime. Qualified candidates must have a passing grade on the Quality Team Lead exam.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain Standardized Work Instructions with Quality Supervisor & Quality Engineers. Perform training on the standard work instructions developed. Support Tier 1 & Teir 2 meetings to communicate with production team members and supervision to help identify and correct non-conformances. Support Connected Operations development and maintenance including implementation of new processes and working with IT on solutions to issues on the production floor. Perform product and process audits. Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives. Ability to conduct all value stream inspections, reviewing the work of all value stream products as a final inspection against dealer PDI, end user PDI, Heil S/O, and all value stream product inspection requirements. Work directly with Heil Field Service and Heil Sales personnel as needed to verify the product meets the customer expectations. Review JPDI and end user PDI reports to dispute and/or correct non-conformances within the value stream.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Works well with minimum supervision. Highly organized and detailed. High ethical standards. Effective communicator. Excellent written skills. Must be experienced in checking Quality of Units and pass the Quality Team Lead exam. Works well with team members. Desire to make impact with suggesting improvements for how to improve inspection effectiveness. Excellent work ethics. Willing to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Requirements:
Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED.
Knowledge: Requires ability to understand general arithmetic; ability to write in an understandable manner; understand verbal or written instructions; ability to read and understand instructions, lists and bill of materials; use PC based applications, including Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
Leadership: Requires ability to positively lead and direct others while setting an example of good work ethics and dependability. Responsibility to escalate and assist in resolution of work-related concerns or conflicts.
Physical: Requires walking, standing, forward bending, crouching and climbing ladders as needed. Lifting up to 40 lbs. as needed.
Manual Dexterity: Requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate all manufacturing equipment as needed.
Audible Demands: Requires ability to follow verbal instructions and to listen for safety alerts.
Visual: Requires the ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety; color and depth perception required.
Environmental: Exposure to plant environments with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
