Lead Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Lead Quality Inspector** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Inspector Team Lead to oversee our quality control (QC) team. This role involves performing thorough visual inspections on components, using precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications, and documenting inspection findings. You will also be responsible for team leadership, including performance reviews and in-process training. **Responsibilities** + Perform thorough visual checks on all components, including sheet metal parts, coils, blower motors, and assemblies, to identify any visible defects such as dents, scratches, misalignments, or improper welding. + Use precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that all components meet specified dimensions and tolerances. + Check incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders and specifications to verify quality before production. + Document inspection findings, including detailed reports on defects, non-conforming items, and corrective actions taken, using quality management systems. + Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies. + Provide feedback to production personnel on quality concerns and work to resolve issues promptly. + Lead a team of QC inspectors, completing 45-day and 6-month performance reviews. + Assist with hands-on in-process training of the QC process. + Assist with training on documentation and provide on-the-moment coaching and feedback. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of hands-on quality inspection of machined, assembled, or manufactured parts. + 2+ years of leadership, team lead, or supervising experience. + Experience using dimensional hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools. + Strong understanding of quality inspection in manufacturing processes. + Ability to interpret data and identify trends to inform quality improvement initiatives. + Clear and accurate record-keeping of inspection results. + Effective communication with production personnel and quality management. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of schematics preferred. + Proficiency in using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. **Why Work Here?** You will enjoy a competitive salary with short-term bonus incentives, an air-conditioned manufacturing facility, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required. The role requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. The dress code includes steel-toe shoes, jeans/work pants, and a T-shirt or polo.
