Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in allow castings, machining, and/or coating processes.Proficient in Microsoft 365.The incumbent is required to be a certified Aerospace Industry Experienced Lead auditor for AS9100 and AS9120 standards.Incumbent must have been directly involved in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, or Process Control for a major airframe manufacturer, prime supplier, auxiliary equipment supplier, and/or appropriate official civil, military, or space organization, such as National Aviation Authorities4 Years of Aerospace and Defense (ASD) work experience within the last 10 years with direct involvement in engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, or process control. 10 years’ experience with QMS/AQMS and/or 3rd party QMS full systems in a team member or team leader role.

For more information about Howmet Aerospace, visit us online at www.howmet.com. The Aerospace Quality Lead Auditor will be leading and conducting audits for its global locations. The position location is remote, and the travel requirement is at least 90% of the time.
Primary responsibilities:
Coordinate and plan all resources necessary to lead an on-site audit at Howmet locations.Research, prepare and communicate an effective audit schedule for upcoming audits that ensures efficiency and compliance with all audit requirements.Conduct effective on-site audits including opening meeting, interviews, records inspection, process tracking, site inspections (physically observing activities where performed, making detailed notes of strengths & weaknesses. Conduct closing meetings, shares preliminary audit results.Complete audit reports noting required information and other details discovered during audit. Process and submit all paperwork to location’s leader and segment’s quality director, per required timelines.Review location-submitted responses to non-conformances identified during audit. Advise location and quality director of appropriateness of response.Actively maintain the technical expertise required to audit specific standards through training and education. Maintain regulatory awareness and compliance requirements of ISO, Nadcap, and other standards as appropriate.Clearly and concisely communicate at all levels within an organization (i.e.: employees, management, etc.), as well as customers, other auditors and Howmet staff.Answer and address all OASIS feedback notices.Provide guidance and support to auditors.Provide updates to auditors on program changes and interpretations and advise on any new changes.
