Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - Performance

We are looking for a Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Performance to join our team. You will be a key member of the Vega engineering team driving improvements to our products’ performance, scalability and reliability.  You will also be responsible for developing, modifying, and executing related test plans and test automation; and reporting on the outcomes of performance test runs. About You

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field, or equivalent industry experience5+ years of experience in quality assurance3+ years of hands-on experience developing the performance test strategies of modern web applications, APIs and services.3+ years experience contributing to test automation frameworks using Java, Python or similar.Experience working within and dynamically scaling a cloud-based environment such as Amazon AWS.

It would be great if you also had

Experience conducting and evaluating performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, Jenkins, Linux, AWS or similarExperience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, etc.Experience contributing to test automation frameworks using Java, Python or similar (TestNG, Page Object Model, Maven, Gradle etc.)Experience with relational databases and SQL.Familiarity with remote Selenium Grid (LambdaTest, SauceLabs, BrowserStack.)Ability to work with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)  Familiarity with open-source libraries and tools Familiarity with Distributed VCS (Git, Bitbucket) and branch management Proficient with UNIX or Windows system essentials

Product you will be developing

The Vega project is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities in with more directed and personalized interactions.  Vega is an AWS based SaaS multi-tenant platform, with multiple cross functional components which combine to deliver a unified, connected data experience across a library’s internal and marketing data, to a customer interaction management suite that is available for use by public libraries worldwide!  

About the Team

You will be joining one of our agile development teams and will work alongside developers, designers, product experts and QA engineers to deliver frequent value to library staff and patrons across the globe.

Hours of Work

Full-time position, typical hours are until 6PM CEST, to align with the US-East timeframes for reporting purposes. This is a hybrid position working in the office 3 days every other week.
