The Opportunity
As Lead Process Engineer - Hydrogen you’ll be a technical specialist leading a small team and performing all aspects of conventional process design engineering and analysis related to hydrogen technology. The Process Engineers in our Gas Processing Group can also support projects for New Energy Solutions, including Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Fertilizers (Ammonia, Urea, etc.), LNG, Gasification, Fermentation, Sulfur Recovery, Gas Treatment, Syngas Processing, Biofuels, and NGL Recovery and Fractionation.
This role can be based in our Glasgow or London, United Kingdom office with some travel throughout the EMEA region to our international offices, client sites and conferences. We work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per in the office, 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities• Lead process engineering evaluations for various hydrogen technologies (Electrolyzers, Fuel Cells, SMR, etc)
• Lead process engineering activities for hydrogen compression, storage evaluation, and transfer
• Lead implementation of solutions through the project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED, detailed design, EPC, and commissioning
• Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area
• Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work
• Typically oversees performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions
• Bachelor’s degree in Process/Chemical or related engineering subject
• Significant related work experience
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
• Experience in hydrogen facility design or hydrogen production operations.
• Knowledge of PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation packages
• Advanded knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards
• Knowledge of hydrogen specific standards in industry
