1. Project Planning and Coordination
Detailed Project Planning
*Develop detailed project plans for mine and infrastructure development within the assigned cluster, encompassing both underground (UG) and open-cast mining operations.
*Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Construction and Statutory functions, to prepare and regularly update project plans.
Progress Updates
*Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that project schedules are maintained and updated in Primavera.
*Provide regular progress updates to the Head of PRMC and ensure alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the cluster.
2. Budgeting and Financial Control
Annual Capex Budgeting
*Lead the development of interim and annual Capex budgets for the respective cluster, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
*Regularly monitor and analyze all cost components of projects, ensuring that expenditures are in line with budgetary constraints.
Cost Overrun Analysis
*Conduct detailed analysis of schedule and cost overruns, identifying root causes and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
*Align activity-based project costing with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to maintain control over project budgets.
3. Risk Management
Risk Register Development
*Prepare and maintain a comprehensive risk register for the cluster, identifying potential risks and analyzing their impact on project outcomes.
*Develop and implement mitigation plans to address identified risks, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and budgets.
Root Cause Analysis
Perform root cause analysis for project risks and issues, particularly in relation to Mining Operations Contracts (MoC) Efficiency Parameters and Coal Mining Agreements.
Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement in project execution.
4. Technology and IT Enablement
IT Tools for Project Management
*Utilize technology and IT tools, such as Primavera and project management software, to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of project planning and control.
*Ensure that all project documentation is managed and accessible through digital platforms, facilitating real-time updates and collaboration.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
Internal Stakeholder Collaboration
*Coordinate with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless integration of project plans and execution.
*Foster effective communication and collaboration within the project team and with external partners, ensuring all parties are aligned with project objectives.
