Duration: March 2028 – Extendable (36 Months)
Working Schedule: Work hours per day: 10 hrs/day Workdays per Week: 6 days/week Workday per Month: 26 days/month Work Location/Assignment Type: Onshore – Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar
Job Purpose Delivers the contracts management plan for the Compression Project. The position will develop, communicate and implement the Contracts Management process and coordinate the development and stewardship of Contract Plans Compression Project. Provides operational direction, technical and functional guidance to contracts and claims personnel and other personnel in the performance of contracts or claims tasks as determined with Project Management. Maintains contact with other Management personnel and Functional Managers.
Key Responsibilities - (Duties include but not limited to): Lead Contract Strategy: Oversee all aspects of the EPC contract lifecycle, from development and negotiation to administration and closeout. Drive Compliance & Performance: Ensure alignment with project goals, safety standards, and financial objectives while mitigating risks. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Legal, Finance, Project Controls, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and optimize outcomes. Manage Claims & Changes: Proactively address contractor claims, change orders, and disputes to safeguard project timelines and budgets. Mentor & Guide: Provide leadership to contracts specialists and foster a culture of excellence within the contracts team. Strategic Thinker: You anticipate challenges, craft solutions, and turn complex contractual terms into actionable plans. Negotiation Expert: Your ability to influence and negotiate drives win-win outcomes in high-pressure scenarios. Global Collaborator: You thrive in multicultural teams and build strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Detail-Oriented Leader: Your precision in documentation, risk analysis, and compliance ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas contracts management, including 3+ years leading contracts for mega-projects ($1B+) .
Skills: Mastery of EPC contract administration claims management, and risk mitigation. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal English). Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with project controls tools is a plus. Behavioral Traits: Resilience under pressure, adaptability to evolving priorities, and a commitment to safety and ethics.
