Be responsible for providing technical expertise as a program team leader in the identification and development of new products. You will lead the design effort and be technically responsible for the project. You will provide reports to internal and customer senior stakeholders. You will lead proposals to address future business opportunities, value engineering, and program/process changes. Act as a key focal point for driving and implementing goals and objectives and are recognized by business management as a primary technical authority

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nAct as Technical Lead for the mechanical design of electric motors, generators, and gearboxes\nMentoring and guiding designers on multiple different platforms to solve complex design problems.\nAct as a System Integration Design Lead to coordinate the efforts of a large group of designers, including module leads, during the development phase of a gas turbine engine.\nDrive schedule, BOM management, layout, design sprints, and module design coordination.\nImagine, design, and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team.\nYou will collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers.\nYou will participate in all phases of product development and will be a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers.\nRefine your engineering talents in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies.\nLeading design teams that develop modern solutions to complex problems.\nDesign engineering using CAD-based modeling.\nCAD-based drafting\nEngineering analysis and weight optimization\nDesign for Manufacturing and cost estimation.\nProduct presentation\nVoice of Customer\n\n

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics\n15+ years of mechanical design engineering experience\n10+ years of experience in mechanical design with NX design tool including modeling and drafting\nPrior experience as a systems design lead\nMust be a US Citizen due to ITAR restrictions\n\n

WE VALUE

\n\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering\nExperience in high-speed rotating equipment design including electric motors, generators, turbomachinery, gear trains, and mechanical systems.\nProven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)\nExperience in Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design phases.\nAbility to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.\nIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.\nAbility to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects.\n\n
