Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering/Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of engineering, military, or other appropriate technical experience)Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentDesired Characteristics:Expertise in using statistical tools/concepts to analyze data (e.g., Minitab, Cpk, VBA, ANOVA, Excel) to lead data-driven problem solving and true root cause identificationExperience independently planning, executing, and analyzing engineering design of experimentsExperience leading small teams (peers or direct reports) and influencing cross-functional stakeholder teams to achieve consensus on direction.Experience working in aerospace industry, specifically in ceramics and/or turbine airfoils commodityExperience with NX/SolidWorks for modeling and GOM/PolyWorks for product characteristic evaluationSelf-motivated with ability to identify problems/opportunities and work independently and within the team to drive solutions.Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learnTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructivelyFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborativeProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
