Responsible for Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Develops an operational annual plan for the own manufacturing activities. Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures.
 

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Designing and implement production processes, tooling and equipment into new and existing production lines. Incorporating validation and process controls to ensure ongoing process stability and consistency.Leading or coordinating as part of a team with other engineering functions to provide support or technical guidance support on projects, to deliver technical customer requirements with aspects critical to quality.Leading or participating in significant projects and investigations, involving complex issue diagnosis and resolution. Drive to root cause and implements solutions to manufacturing or test processes and ensure lessons learned are shared.Being responsible for the review of business wide controlling documentation, software and investigations. Review content of company-wide documentation, with awareness of applicable regulatory standards. Applies knowledge of company standards, policies, processes and procedures to ensure that regulatory requirements are met, and compliance is maintained.Acting as a key member of the manufacturing engineering team, supporting major programs from development to production and business as usual through process planning, change management and continuous improvement methodologies.Having the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve manufacturing business milestones


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering / technical accreditation or equivalent experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering discipline.Have the ability to use Solidworks (previous knowledge of CAD is an advantage) to design fixtures and analyse product designs.Have current or relevant manufacturing engineer position in similar engineering industry.Have experience in engineering processes & tooling capability.Have proficient experience in assembly techniques and good attention to detail of components and assemblies.Have a background in reviewing and approving engineering drawings of components and assemblies.Have an understanding of MRP system, engineering and manufacturing routing.Have the ability to efficiently convert technical information & engineering drawing data into work instructions & technical narratives (Essential).Have depth of experience in driving process improvement.Have good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.Have good working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology & tools.Have the right to work in the UK not requiring future sponsorship.

Core Working Hours:

Working Schedule - 39 hours per week

Monday - Wednesday: 0800-1630hrs

Thursday - Friday: 0800-1600hrs
