**Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician** **Job Description:** + We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a small 3-person maintenance team at our facility in N. Portland. + The facility is a distribution center for reusable plastic containers (RPCs) that are leased to clients such as Albertsons, Kroger, and New Seasons. + The facility stocks and distributes RPCs by the pallet/truckload to clients in the Pacific Northwest, and then sorts and sanitizes the returned containers using a large industrial washing system maintained by the maintenance team. The Portland facility, while currently less complex, is expected to undergo future upgrades, raising the level of equipment and requiring a high-level maintenance technician to join the team. **Responsibilities:** + Oversee two other technicians as well as the parts inventory process, including parts ordering. + Manage the chemical inventory for the site, including detergent and sanitizer. + Primarily work the first (day) shift but be available to respond to 2nd shift mechanical issues if required. **Essential Skills:** + Experience in general maintenance, machine operations, facility maintenance, and maintenance for high volume conveying systems. + Experience in PLC and advanced electrical operational maintenance/repair. + Experience with high volume conveying operations, water systems, large volume washers, motors, electrical, and PLC controls. + Previous experience with welding, pipe installation/repair, and heating/boiler units. + Previous experience with general facility maintenance functions including doors, offices, and forklifts. + Excellent on-time decision-making skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume operational requirements. **Why Work Here?** + Our company offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for future advancement as the facility undergoes upgrades. Expect some water, moisture, and wetness due to the nature of the sanitization process. **Job Type & Location:** + This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $79040.00/yr. $34-38/hr. + Bonus Eligible for bonus (3%), benefits, pto, holiday pay after start vs 90 days also 401K matching 100% of the first 3%, then 50% of the next 2%.
