Lead Interaction & Ergonomics Engineer
**What you'll do...** We are seeking a Lead Interaction and Ergonomics Engineer to oversee our controls, layout and usability initiatives as we expand our future Ranger and Everest programs. This role will also interface with our Core global team on process and tools across various aspects of Ergonomics and Usability. Reporting directly to the Product Excellence and Human Factors Supervisor, this position is based on site at our Broadmeadows site in Campbellfield, Victoria. + Serve as the technical lead for Ergonomic Digital and Physical assessments + Spearhead the delivery of feasible Ergonomics & Usability attributes to support all major program milestones. + Manage communication of Ergonomic & Usability issues between cross-functional teams, including Design Studio, Design & Release Engineers, and Global Core Ergonomics teams. + Connect with local, regional, and global groups for program-specific technical discussions. + Diret benchmarking initiatives, competitive assessments, and clinics from pre-program through launch for I&E work-streams. + Provide support for Pre-Program Ergonomics & Usability studies. + Actively participate in user research and moderate usability studies for the development of new feature and system proposals. + In addition to the Ergonomics responsibilities, this role will include leading and signing off interior harmony for illumination and chimes. • 5+ years’ experience in ergonomics and user interaction design. • Effective leadership and communication skills. • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. • Background in conducting user research and usability testing. • Knowledge of digital and physical ergonomic assessment methodologies. **You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!** **About us…** As the world changes, we will continue to adapt and lead change.
