The Lead Histology Assistant performs all clerical and computer tasks necessary to support the quality operations of the department. Communicates to maintain team knowledge and train/mentor other healthcare personnel in the gross room. Obtains and processes pathology specimens while maintaining positive specimen identification and assisting with the maintenance of Laboratory equipment to ensure the quality preparation of all specimens. Processes, prepares, and stains cytology specimens to ensure quality results and accurate diagnosis by the Cytologist/Pathologist.

Your ability to process, prepare and stain cytology specimens to ensure quality results and accurate diagnosis by the Cytologist/Pathologist is expected.
