Job Description A top employer in the mortgage industry is looking for a Lead Foreclosure Specialist to join their team. This role plays a critical part in managing and overseeing the foreclosure process, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. The specialist will conduct quality reviews of foreclosure procedures, audit and monitor case progress, and provide guidance to ensure processes are handled efficiently and accurately.   Some responsibilities of the Lead Foreclosure Specialist will include but are not limited to:   Leading the foreclosure process from start to finish, ensuring the team meets performance metrics and adheres to company policies and procedures.   Conducting audits and reviews of foreclosure files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.   Analyzing borrower accounts, loan documents, and relevant financial information to make informed decisions.   Evaluating and approving foreclosure figures, including judgment amounts, bidding instructions, and reinstatement quotes.   Monitoring reports to verify compliance with required notification periods and timelines.   Acting as a liaison between departments, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with external parties.   Identifying and escalating operational inefficiencies or compliance issues to management.   Providing guidance, support, and training to junior staff members involved in foreclosure processes.   LOCATION/TRAVEL:   Ideally located in the San Diego area, with a hybrid work model of two days per week in the office.   *Not required to be local*   SCHEDULE:   Monday - Friday   Start time around 7 AM or 8 AM PST, with potential extended hours until 5 PM or 6 PM for month-end tasks and occasional weekend work.    IMPORTANT TO NOTE:   The volume of foreclosures managed is approximately 1,200, with each specialist handling 100 to 150 cases, both active and on hold.   COMPANY/POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:   The Lead Foreclosure Specialist collaborates closely with Foreclosure Supervisors, Specialists, and Assistants to maintain smooth coordination throughout the foreclosure process. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of foreclosure laws, strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
