Scope of Responsibilities: Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:
Schedule and post schedules of all Filling Technicians to ensure adequate floor coverage on all shiftsMonitor attendance, tardiness, sick and vacation time, and all absences for compliance with company [policy, and verify time sheets weekly for validityMaintain strict adherence to all policies and proceduresAdvise Facility Manager of all pertinent events and exceptions within assigned departmentEvaluate department employees and complete performance evaluationsInstitute, in conjunction with the Facility Manager, performance improvement plans for poor work performanceRecommend to the Facility Manager disciplinary action for violation of policies and proceduresMonitor work flow within the department and assign employees to facility timely completion of tasksMonitor Filling Technicians for accuracy, and supervise staff in the proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacistsWork closely with purchasing staff and assign filling technicians, when necessary, to assist in ordering receiving and storing of inventory.Work closely with other staff to facilitate the on-boarding and training of new employeesTrain, maintain and supervise all automation functionsProcess and export batches for Automed fillingCoordinate filling and check in of cycle, anniversary, and Automed Daily/monthly fillsProcessing and printing of routine and cycle fill labels for dispensingIs a member of and actively participates in pharmacy manager team meetingsAssist the Facility Manager in achieving the desired goals and targets for the pharmacyResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsAttendance Requirements:
Must be available, and on-time for scheduled work shifts
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GEDPreferred: AS Degree or Higher
Experience:
Preferred: 2 or more years previous experience in related position
Required (Vermont Employees):
Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician
Required Ohio Employees Only):
Registered with the State of Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician
Job Skills Required:
Detailed knowledge of specific departmentBasic keyboarding and calculator skillsStrong communication skillsStrong organization skillsLimited lifting up to 80 lbs.
Compensation:
$18.00-20.00 per hour.
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
