This role in summaryThe Hardware Engineering position will serve as the technical lead in electronics hardware design, development, and validation for cutting-edge consumer durable appliances. This role demands expertise in circuit design, PCB development, and system-level integration, collaborating across functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality, and reliable electronic control systems from concept to production.
Your responsibilities will includeTechnical Leadership:
Act as a technical lead for hardware design projects, guiding cross-functional teams through end-to-end development cycles.
Conduct technical design reviews, root cause analysis, FMEA, and validation to ensure robust designs.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and influence design decisions.
Circuit Design & PCB Development:
Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including motor controllers, power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC), and microcontroller-based systems.
Design circuit schematics, perform simulations (PSPICE, LTSPICE), and oversee PCB layouts using tools like Cadence Allegro.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, testability, and regulatory compliance (e.g., UL, IEC, CE, BIS).
System Integration:
Collaborate with system architects and cross-disciplinary teams to integrate hardware solutions into appliance platforms.
Manage component selection, de-rating analysis, and supplier engagement to meet performance, cost, and reliability goals.
Minimum requirementsB.E in Electrical, Power Electronics, Electronics, and telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineer

Preferred skills and experiencesHands-on experience in DC/DC SMPS and Linear power supply design preferably flyback, buck converter, linear regulator, and series pass regulator design
Strong experience in component selection skills like resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, mosfets, IGBT, Gate Drive, Over current/ Voltage protection circuits.
Experience in design for EMI-EMC compliance, resolution of EMI-EMC issues.
Experience in doing detailed design calculations of currents & voltages across each component in design.
Ability to use Test & Measuring instruments like Power Supplies, DSO, Logic Analyzer, Power Analyzer, etc.
Doing necessary Engineering documentation like test plans, test reports, ECN, Hardware Design Document , derating document etc.. .
Research the use of new development concepts and guide future product development.
Identifying technological alternatives that are cost-competitive and suitable for scaling up.
Good understanding of magnetics design (inductor, transformer etc.) for power electronics application.
Knowledge of thermal management techniques and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations in power electronics design. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations throughout the design proces
