Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create, modify, and analyze the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction. Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Mebane, NC.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCreating / reviewing complete project documents for conformity, safety, and quality assurance.•\tReviewing, adjusts design as necessary based on output of design to meet the contractual obligations.•\tOptimizing designs to meet updated standards, incorporating new products, components, and functionalities.•\tSeeks feedback from the customer to drive and deliver improvement of technical solutions.•\tContributing to the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, adhering to relevant standards, safety, cybersecurity, and quality.•\tParticipating in project meetings and presents specific aspects of design assignments.•\tApplying basic design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.

Qualifications for the role

Associate’s degree in a related discipline plus 5 or more years of relevant industry experienceOrMinimum of 8 or more years of directly related industry experience.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
