Lead Data Engineer

**Your role at Dynatrace**
Our Business Insights team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to help us unlock the full potential of the enormous data volume we receive every minute. In this role, you'll own the data stack and architecture behind our data products.
+ Leverage state-of-the-art technologies to acquire, ingest, store, and transform large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data assets.
+ Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensuring performance and reliability.
+ Develop and maintain solutions in production, focusing on scalability, error recovery, monitoring, alerting, and security.
+ Implement functional and unit tests in the CI/CD deployment pipeline.
+ Collaborate with the team to create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models for structured and semi-structured data.
+ Collaborate with the Governance team to ensure data processes adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
**What will help you succeed**
**Qualifications:**
+ At least five years of experience in Data Engineering (ideally applied to BI systems).
+ Advanced expertise in SQL and Python.
+ Hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data storage solutions like AWS S3
+ Proven ability to optimize data pipelines supporting real-time dashboards, reports, and applications.
+ Strong understanding of query performance tuning.
+ Experience managing scalability, error recovery, and security in data workflows.
**Desirable qualifications:**
+ Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
+ Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, and Dataiku is a plus.
+ Knowledge of Data Observability, Data Quality, and Data Monitoring tools or frameworks.
+ Certifications in AWS or Snowflake (or equivalent cloud certifications).
+ Knowledge of database modeling (HTAP, Data and Event Streaming, Data Lakehouse, Time-Series, Graph etc).
+ Experience in delivering big data and machine learning solutions in a cloud environment.
+ Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
+ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
