Your primary responsibility will be to lead teams in developing new systems that operate in the cyber and intelligence domain to enable new mission possibilities. You will work with stakeholders to understand operational needs and collaborate with external teams to ensure systems under development meet the complex, varied operational requirements, while communicating technical risk and limitations. You will apply critical thinking and use feedback to improve processes, products, and services. You will prepare and present high quality briefings and written reports for executive leadership both inside and outside the Laboratory You will utilize your expertise and experience to mentor and grow fellow team members and develop future leaders and technical experts. You will provide technical leadership in developing a coherent vision and supporting strategies, and implementing them to deliver critical contributions. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Possess an advanced degree in computer science, cybersecurity, mathematics, engineering, physics, operations research and systems analysis, or a closely related field. Have demonstrated experience successfully leading large, technical teams. Have 10+ years of experience applying research and analysis methodologies to real-world problems. Have the demonstrated ability to present complex information, concepts, and ideas in a confident and well-organized manner to a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. Hold an active TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
