Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Cloud Engineering AWS Paas

In this role, you will be responsible managing and optimizing our AWS PaaS environments, implementing best practices, and ensuring efficient deployment and operation of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AWS services, automation, and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure.


Responsibilities
• Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS PaaS services such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, and others.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of AWS PaaS environments.
• Monitor AWS PaaS services' performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
• Integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes into AWS PaaS workflows.
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements in AWS PaaS environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and implement necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage IAM policies and permissions for AWS PaaS services.
• Monitor AWS PaaS services' performance, usage, and costs using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Trusted Advisor, and other monitoring tools.
• Optimize AWS resources for cost efficiency and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to AWS PaaS services.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, and security teams.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS PaaS environments, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.


Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in cloud engineering, AWS PaaS services and cloud-native application development.
• Strong experience with AWS PaaS services such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, etc.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of AWS security best practices, IAM, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and ELK Stack.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or other relevant AWS certifications are preferred but not required.
• Proven track record of designing, deploying, and managing AWS PaaS services at scale.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
