As an Lead Cloud Operations Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and technical excellence within our Cloud Operations team. This individual contributor role is accountable for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud-based applications and services. You will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, implement automation and monitoring solutions, and drive continuous improvement in cloud operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining and advancing our position at the forefront of cloud technology. You will report directly to our Cloud Operations Manager and you’ll work out of our location on a work schedule. In this role, you will impact the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless operations for our customers and internal stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance of cloud-based applications and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments, applying root cause thoughtfulness and implementing preventative actions
• Implement automation and monitoring solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability
• Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive continuous improvement in cloud operations
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency in cloud operations
YOU MUST HAVE• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, or engineering
• 5+ years of experience in cloud operations or related roles
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or ELK stack
WE VALUE• Advanced certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
