The Lead Cash Management Specialist is responsible for the successful management of liquidity assessments and banking activities across Ameren companies. This includes management of banking information and activities that enhances Ameren’s ability to be one of the leaders in the utility industry.  This position will also be responsible for performing cash management consulting activities to a variety of business lines regarding banking activities, as well as managing the Treasury Workstation, and providing analytical support to Banking related projects. Additionally, this position will assist with other corporate finance activities as assigned.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform banking activities for Ameren and its subsidiary companies, to ensure liquidity needs are met in a timely and accurate manner. Report data to appropriate groups and levels regarding daily, monthly, and quarterly activity. Monitor, evaluate for accuracy bank fees for Ameren and its subsidiaries by using EDI and vendor software and process for payment.Evaluate and implement the infrastructure necessary for the cash management of Ameren and its subsidiaries, ensure protection against fraudulent activity, and ensure legal and tax compliance. Continuously review operations for process improvements, automated solutions, and increased efficiencies by implementing industry best practices while ensuring effective business continuity/disaster recovery plans are in place. Provide backup during Manger's absence. Lead and assist with treasury projects and initiatives.Assist other departments (e.g., audit, accounting) with quarter-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed.Lead the collaboration with the company’s business units in setting up new banking accounts, services, and handling bank inquiries and related matters.Work with company’s business units to prepare weekly cash forecasts and other cash and borrowing projection models; coordinate with teams to identify and mitigate forecasting variances.Assist with the Company's Corporate Finance activity. Manage the Treasury Workstation and all systems that interface with banking systems to the optimal level of performance, automation and efficiencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required; preferably in Finance or related discipline.

Advance degree or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certificate or progress towards certification is preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience in financial analysis or banking required.  Team leadership experience is preferred.  Treasury workstation or related treasury management system experience preferred.  Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.   Strong analytical skills are preferred, including the ability to identify, analyze and research operational and financial issues.  Strong oral communication and writing skills are preferred.  Must be able to exercise judgement and work independently while working on multiple tasks.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

The Lead Cash Management Specialist works during normal business hours, with an early starting time, in an office environment or remotely.  Work on all banking days is required, including some company holidays, though responsibility to work these holidays rotates throughout the year. Ability to quickly understand complex transactions, knowledge of the banking industry and technical knowledge of bank products, ability to apply finance and treasury principles, strong Excel skills, and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic

Compensation Range:

$90,900.00 - $140,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
