As a Lead Business Partner, you will:
Champion Target’s purpose and beliefs across teams and while delivering upon business opportunities
Build understanding of the external landscape and identify trends in the industry that impact Store Operations and Target initiatives
Drive operational improvement in stores by updating processes, improving operational efficiency and elevating guest experience
Act as an advocate for stores and address escalated questions or concerns
Lead/Coordinate store visits to assess and identify ways to reduce store expense, rework, simplify processes and solicit store feedback
Maintain close contact with the field team to understand operational opportunities and solicit feedback
Work with various cross-functional partners to ensure stores have accurate, robust and timely communication to drive in-store execution and guest experience
Maintain strong relationships with partners, both internal and external, and peers to benchmark performance, identify emerging trends, best methods, tools, technologies and influence innovation
Represent Store Operations in enterprise cross-pyramid initiatives, ensuring store impact is communicated and understood
Understand end-to-end initiatives to influence the necessary Return on Investment (ROI) while efficiently utilizing Target resources
Use data, insights and research to drive decisions and a strategy that is cohesive with the enterprise needs
Pursue opportunities for continuous business development and innovation

About you:
Four-year degree
6+ years of relevant work experience (i.e. retail, etc)
Experience influencing key business partners, including senior leadership, without authority
Project and process management/ownership experience
Experience operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment with limited direction
Ability to challenge upward and challenge the status quo
Proven ability to resolve problems that are without clear precedent
Effective influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to work in high intensity situations with tight deadlines
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and conflict management skills
Previous stores experience desired
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
