Somerby Golf Club, one of the premier golf clubs in Minnesota, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team. Our team members are the foundation of our success, contributing to an environment built on respect, teamwork, and appreciation. The Lead Bartender will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional bar service while fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Compensation: $15- 17 per hour

Responsibilities:

Greet and engage with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring consistency and quality. Develop and introduce new drink ideas to enhance the club’s beverage offerings.
  Supervise and support bartending staff, ensuring smooth daily operations. Train new bartenders and servers on bar operations and service standards. Oversee E-Tab and Pull Tab sales in compliance with regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and inventory management. Close the bar a minimum of three nights per week, ensuring proper end-of-shift procedures are followed
  Process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and reconcile daily sales. Collaborate with management to plan and execute bar-related promotions and events. Keep members informed about upcoming events and specials.  

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale environment. Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high standard of quality. Must be over 18 years of age. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. Must pass a substance screening before employment.
