The Lead Associate – Client Relationship Management assists is both client-facing and market-facing. You will manage all aspects of new and renewal business, including marketing, remarketing, and daily account servicing. The book of business primarily consists of Canadian subsidiaries and affiliates of multinational companies. As part of a global team, you will provide expertise on the Canadian insurance market, offering guidance and service to clients and our global network partners.

The Role
Collaborate and communicate with the Network to process, invoice, deliver, and service globally placed North American policies.Collaborate with the internal team to document internal and external strategy meetings.Draft exposure and underwriting information, deliver to client, and gather updates from the client.Coordinate and support all day-to-day client service and consultation.Maintain regular communication with clients via phone, email, and video conferencing. Attend in-person meetings as needed.Prepare and present insurance submissions to markets or coordinate with internal specialty brokers.Design and build full client proposals with recommended options, including the coverage comparisons.Request and obtain binders from insurers and perform or obtain the second set of eyes review as applicable.Deliver binders and/or policies to client with appropriate transmittal letters.Assist with follow-ups to client for subjectivities.Collaborate with the internal team to request and process endorsements and audits.Collaborate with Associates and other appropriate resources to draft fee agreement(s) as applicable.Collaborate and communicate with Domestic and Global Center teams (e.g. Accounting, Certificate Center, Renewal Services, Policy Checking) to smoothly and effectively complete joint work/process steps including billing of premiums and fees.Maintain account management information in appropriate systems.Assist with unlicensed placement due diligence process. Complete documentation associated with filings.Request and verify the accurate delivery of agency bill invoices and coordinate with accounting as applicable, including calculating premium and tax allocations.Secure Premium Financing quotes and deliver to client.Complete policy checks, review checklists, and deliver the final policy letter to client if no discrepancies found.Complete the Certificate template as needed to allow the Certs Team to issue certificates.The Requirements
Must successfully complete appropriate licensing exam(s) and/or maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed. If already licensed, must be able to show valid confirmation of current status.Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a Commercial Underwriting or Commercial Broker environmentBilingual proficiency in French and EnglishPossesses effective verbal and written communication skills.Technological acumen to adapt to multitude of technology-based systems, including agency management software, Adobe PDF applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and proprietary applications.Possesses excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities using sound judgment and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.Strong decision-making capabilitiesMust be results-orientedAbility to provide superior customer service to the client and the insuredStrong organizational skills in prioritizing duties and multi-tasking, with the ability to consistently meet deadlinesIndependently carry out specific assignments and tasksCompensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 75,000 – 105,000 CAD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
