Lead Analytics Consultant - Fraud Loss Forecasting
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant for the Prevention & Partnership team within Fraud & Claims Management. This position will be responsible for fraud loss forecasting, capacity planning, and making recommendations based on statistical analysis, financial data, and economic research. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com . **In this role, you will:** + Collaborate with Product, Project Management, Vendors, Operations, Finance and Capacity Planning to support our strategic growth initiatives. This includes but is not limited to translating business needs, risks, and opportunities into measurable impacts + Support leadership in developing financial research, forecasting of financial metrics, operating and strategic reviews + Recommend solutions based on financial data and economic research that may have critical impact on long term business performance + Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex challenges on key metrics forecasting and various financial assessment + Coordinate highly complex activities with research of complex financial data, with the guidance of others to implement key risk initiatives in support of management decision-making for a business + Forecast analysis of key metrics, as well as other financial consulting related to business performance, operating and strategic reviews + Work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives + Lead large companywide complex projects and initiatives to drive change and success + Present recommendations for resolving all aspects of delivering key forecasting projections as well as financial reporting to support monthly and annual forecasting + Consult on projects and initiatives with high risk to identify impacts and take the appropriate action or make recommendations for requirements, processes, and influence decisions + Act as a key participant in large-scale planning within fraud and claims functional area + Conduct complex research using advanced, technical, and investigative methods to determine liability and business challenges that require concrete strategies to mitigate financial losses or business interruptions + Make decisions in ambiguous situations after developing solid understanding of patterns, trends, anomalies, and schemes in both transactions and relationships that influence the team to meet deliverables + Provide leadership, which could include mentoring and supporting less experienced staff, acting as an escalation point, leading key projects and initiatives, or sharing technical knowledge proficiency **Required Qualifications:** + 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 3+ years of experience performing complex calculations and data visualization using Excel + 3+ years of experience performing statistical analysis or quantitative analysis used for making recommendations and/or decision making **Desired Qualifications:** + Experience creating capacity plans and fraud loss forecasts + Financial data and economic research experience + Experience consulting on high-risk projects and initiatives to identify impacts and making recommendations for requirements, processes and decision making + Fraud and Claims Operations experience + Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems + Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas + Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner + Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities + Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members, including senior leadership + Advanced Microsoft Office skills with expert level Excel skills + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills + Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy + 2+ years of leadership experience + Experience working with changing priorities and deadlines **Job Expectations:** + This position may be located at one of the posted locations listed below and other locations will not be considered + Relocation benefits are not available for this position + Visa sponsorship is not available for this position **Location:** + 1525 W W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte NC + 2800 S Price Rd Chandler, AZ + 250 E John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX + 7711 Plantation Rd, Roanoke, VA **Posting End Date:** 11 Feb 2025 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Diversity** At Wells Fargo, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace; accordingly, we welcome applications for employment from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, individuals with disabilities, pregnancy, marital status, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable law.
