Your impact on the team: The Lead Analyst of Strategic Sales Operations at McGraw Hill Higher Education will play a key role in supporting sales strategy initiatives and optimizing operations to drive growth and efficiency. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Sales Operations, this role will provide analytical and operational support for critical projects, and work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Systems, Data & Analytics, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Product. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional with a proven track record of leading analytical projects and driving initiatives to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and contributing to strategic decision-making. This role is open to candidates that permanently reside within the United States and works from a remote home office. Travel is required between 10-25% of the year. What you will be doing: Work closely with the VP of Strategic Sales Operations to execute critical strategy and operational projects that require robust data analysis and cross-functional input and alignment. Evaluate, track, and monitor sales performance data, delivering insights that help leaders make informed decisions about sales roles, territory and account coverage models, and personnel deployment. Support Data & Analytics in creating and maintaining dashboards and reporting to provide actionable insights for sales leadership and teams. Evaluate and document sales processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency or resilience; recommend, own and drive selected process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the Director of Customer Success Operations to coordinate and streamline processes, ensuring an integrated approach between Sales and Customer Success. Support the enhancement of data quality, streamline reporting processes, and automate workflows, supporting informed decision-making across sales operations. Work with the head of Sales Systems to ensure the sales strategy is effectively integrated into operational systems, including CRM, data management, and reporting tools. Assist in the audit and assessment of existing sales tools (e.g., territory plans, account plans), and support the evaluation of new tools and software that support operational efficiency and strategy execution. We’re looking for someone with: Bachelor’s degree required, coursework in statistics, marketing/sales, or related technical field preferred. 7+ years of experience in sales operations, go-to-market enablement, or related functions, with a focus on improving sales operational efficiency and supporting revenue growth. Preferred experience within the education ecosystem. Demonstrated ability to support process improvement initiatives, analyze operational workflows, and provide actionable insights to enhance business performance. Strong analytical and business acumen in sales, marketing, and finance, with the ability to synthesize data and present recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems (Salesforce), and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong data literacy and ability to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations. Experience and knowledge in AI capabilities a plus. The pay range for this position is between $90,000 - 130,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
