THE POSITION
\n\nHoneywell’s ACST team is seeking a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for our Chandler, AZ location. As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\n\n\tNew Program Implementation:\n\n\t\n\t\tDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes using advanced engineering principles and techniques. Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies to support new projects and process improvements.\n\t\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to create budget proposals aligned with all necessary resources to achieve program deliverables.\n\t\tUtilize data analysis and simulation tools to optimize production workflows and resource allocation. Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.\n\t\tIdentify and mitigate risks detrimental to project timelines, budgets, and quality.\n\t\n\t\n\tContinuous Improvement and Innovation:\n\t\n\t\tLead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity, including coaching and mentoring younger talent.\n\t\tLead continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity.\n\t\tDevelop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.\n\t\n\t\n\tQuality Control and Assurance:\n\t\n\t\tWork closely with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.\n\t\n\t\n\tReporting and Documentation:\n\t\n\t\tPrepare regular reports, presentations, and analyses to communicate achievements, ongoing initiatives, and growth opportunities to senior management.\n\t\n\t\n\tUp to 20% travel expected\n\n\n\n\n

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
\n\n\n\tU.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.\n\tClearance Required: you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance.\n\tBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA/MS) may be advantageous.\n\t5+ years of experience of engineering in launching and stabilizing new processes and products.\n\tProven experience in new program implementation, process optimization, and improving production efficiency within a manufacturing environment.\n\tStrong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PLM, ERP systems).\n\tProven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma principles, such as DMAIC analysis.\n\n\n\n\n
PREFERRED
\n\n\n\tMaster’s degree in engineering or a related field\n\tGreen Belt, Black Belt, DFSS, Lean certification. Demonstrated experience in solving problems using six sigma techniques.\n\tEffective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.\n\tExcellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional teams.\n\tWide experience supporting critical manufacturing.\n\tExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills\n\tAbility to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.\n\tStrong project management skills\n\tKnowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing\n\tCommitment to continuous learning and professional development\n\tAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.\n\n\n\n\n
