The Aviation Maintenance and Sustainment (AMS) Division of Leidos has openings for Lead A&P Mechanics OCONUS (60 day rotation schedule). The job of the Lead A&P Mechanic is to assign maintenance tasks and assist as required in maintaining Leidos Challenger 650 aircraft in accordance with OEM specifications and FAA regulations. The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. The Lead A&P Mechanic may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
Primary Responsibilities
Review aircraft logbook entries for aircraft airworthinessTrack and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, repair and inspections on all aircraft systemsSupervise Daily/turnaround inspectionsBuild Phase Inspection packagesSubmit daily, weekly or monthly reports as required to the Site LeadPerform corrosion inspections and related treatmentUpdate maintenance tracking software and databasesWork hours may be adjusted for operational requirementsAbility to troubleshoot systems to provide an effective solutionMaintain FAA required records, manuals and inspection formsStructural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programTurbine engine, propeller, airframe and flight control/landing gear or engine riggingEducation
High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of prior relevant experienceBasic Qualifications
