Position Summary:

Responsible of the management of new launches transfer of lines, increase capacity and layout improvements. Improvement ideas development to get process optimization, increase capacity and cost reduction, through continuous improvement. Innovative strategies deployment by applying the Harman Production System philosophy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications). Direct reports process engineer equal or lower global grade, process/manufacturing technicians, students.

Job Responsibilities:

Participation on  transfer (TOW).Successful new product introduction launches(NPI).Assembly Process development and implementation.New projects follow-up through detailed documented planning.Engineering changes proposal, and implantation.Support to manufacturing areas, providing tooling, work instructions, training, quality and productivity improvements.Search continuous training and Knowledge growth.Process documentation updated, ISO procedures, work instructions.Layout development and improvement.Support Industrial engineering on: Time study, line balancing, fixturization, and work standardization.Mechanical design for assembly fixure.Experience in electronic-mechanical assy, screwing, gluing, manual assembly.Support with set up and troubleshooting of manufacturing tracking system (SAP ME)Participate and/or lead cost reduction projects.Support manufacturing process and tools. Use different techniques, practices, and procedures within their area of expertise that allow supporting medium-sized projects.Perform activities such as project management: planning, coordination, implementation, monitors and control program of activities and resources.Drive automation projects with AME and suppliers related to assembly process.Responsible of creation and control of OMS of the products assigned.Responsible of creation and control of OMS of the new products.Assist NPI projects during launch.Responsible of routers (labor cost time) on SAP current and new products.Responsible of analysis, calculation, and provide to planning plant capacity per line.Interacts mainly with the departments of Test, Quality, Production, Materials, Planning, Maintenance, Accounting, AME.Conduct root cause problem solving analysis for the process.

Basic Qualifications:

Integrity.Innovation.Inclusion.Teamwork & Respect.Excellence.Strategic Planning Oriented.Bachelor’s Degree in industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic Engineering, with 5 years of experience in manufacturing areas as Process Engineer, experience in assembly processes for electronic products preferable.Medium to Advance English level. Fuid on reading and writing that allows fluid presentations & communication with multisite team members, able to work autonomous.New product introduction (transfer, process development)Risk Analysis oriented.Core Tools Knowledge (at least AMEF, CP, MSA, SPC).Ability to work under stressful conditions.Problem Solving and Continuous improvement skills.Process Optimization, Line Balancing, Process Design skills.Conflict Management.

Leadership.Change Orientation.Collaboration.Judgment.Result Driven.Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously without compromising delivery dates.Ability to communicate with other users in a professional, courtesy manner.Experience in electronic manufacturing Industry.Green Belt.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Auto CAD, Minitab and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).

Willingness to travel.Willingness to work in an office or production floor.Ability to work with multinational teams.
