Job Purpose or Objective(s): Manage all maintenance operations, service assignments and repairs on a variety of laundry and environmental equipment at assigned facility(s) to assure safe, operation of equipment with attention toward safety, security, preventative maintenance, and maintaining regulatory requirements. You will report to the Laundry Operations Senior Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. Develop maintenance associates in the laundry facility in their technical and administrative skills while developing the CNO values. Create and provide staff training and certifications for maintenance teams to create and increase expertise on the maintenance of all equipment in the laundry facility.
Provide direction and instruction to laundry technician team members, and be willing to provide feedback, disciplinary action, hire and terminate laundry associates. Establish and maintain a fair work environment and be a team player.
3. Communicate the state of the laundry from the aspect of equipment health through status updates as determined by laundry leadership.
4. Coordinate daily workflow in maintaining assigned buildings & projects following the established procedures of the Choctaw Nation, Choctaw Casinos, and local management.
5. Oversee troubleshooting and repair work to ensure compliance with specifications; recommend modifications and requirement changes to facilitate completion of repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial laundry equipment. Will oversee the preventive maintenance programs of all equipment at the Laundry Facility including the vehicle fleet.
6. Prioritize repair requests and plan work to ensure necessary parts are available and tasks are completed. Determine causes of mechanical or technological operating errors and determine resolution. Oversee production associates in absence of production manager.
7. Conduct periodic inspections of buildings and facilities to determine repair needs. Help develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
8. Gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify possible effects, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; produce alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems. Determine material, parts, and equipment to be used for repairs and installation. Maintain proper stock level using established ordering procedures to replenish supplies; monitor and secure inventory to minimize waste.
9. Manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and meet time-to-repair commitments. Provide input for the annual department operating budget.
10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Knowledge of machines, computers, tools and other equipment, including their designs, uses and maintenance.
· Knowledge of relevant equipment, procedures, and strategies to promote operations for protecting people, data and property.
· Use knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to direct repairs ranging from routine to more complex to support industrial sized Laundry equipment.
· Willingness to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
· Five (5) years’ service industry experience with large, commercial laundry equipment or related machinery in a supervisory role.
