Job Summary
Drive seamless product launches by overseeing process, tooling, and requirement changes while championing continuous improvement to enhance quality, productivity, and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Launch Strategy & Execution
Design and execute the Launch Glidepath, ensuring all milestones (e.g., timelines, deliverables) are achieved for successful product introduction.Proactively monitor glidepath progress, escalating risks to leadership and implementing mitigation strategies.Lead cross-functional Site Development Team (SDT) design and process reviews to align component quality and manufacturability with project goals.Quality Assurance & Compliance
Integrate robust process controls (e.g., poke-yoke, FMEA, Control Plans) to safeguard critical product dimensions (SC/CC) during assembly/manufacturing.Resolve Launch Quality Rejects and customer concerns with urgency, ensuring root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.Enforce strict protocols to halt non-conforming product delivery until deficiencies are resolved.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to align launch activities with cost, quality, and efficiency targets.Mobilize cross-disciplinary teams to address process gaps, prevent non-conformities, and implement preventive measures.Training & Documentation
Develop and track comprehensive training plans to equip employees with skills for new products/processes.Maintain detailed records of launch issues, resolutions, and process improvements for accountability and audits.Continuous Improvement
Identify and document systemic product/process/quality issues, driving solutions to closure.Leverage data and stakeholder feedback to refine workflows and eliminate waste.Environmental, Health & Safety:
Support the protection of the environment, personal safety, prevention of pollution and the continual improvement of the Environmental Management System. Providing leadership to Launch team in preventing accident and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards. This includes: continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous environmental, health, and safety conditions.Ensure environmental, health and safety hazards are corrected, eliminated or guarded as related to Launch teamWithin scope of responsibilities assessing engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE on an on-going basisAssisting in the investigation of accidents. Having the authority to: Stop and prevent unsafe actions; stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, stop work and/or have employees leave a work areaAbility to participate in investigation of near misses and other environmental/safety-related incidents that have occurredEnsure that all department related incident reports are completed in a timely and accurate mannerQualification Requirements:
Software Proficiency
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); MS Project proficiency preferred.Ability to create visual aids (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards) to simplify complex data and communicate insights effectively.Data Analysis & Problem-Solving
Solve complex mathematical problems using basic and advanced analytical methods.Perform data optimization and analysis to address challenges in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).Translate datasets into visual charts/diagrams tailored to project needs.Documentation & Communication
Interpret technical documents, including blueprints, safety protocols, and procedure manuals.Prepare clear, concise reports, correspondence, and routine documentation.Operational Excellence
Leverage data-driven insights to identify trends, optimize processes, and support decision-making.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between technical analysis and operational goals.Education and Experience:
BSME, BSIE or Equivalent; 5 to 10 years manufacturing experience; 5 to 10 years product design experience and customer management.PRIMARY LOCATION
