Job Title: Large Wiring Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Department/Area: Operations - Assembly Pay Rate: Grade 3
Shift: 1st (6:45am-3:15pm) overtime & Saturday as needed
$25.65 an hour
JOB SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for the Wiring of Large Commercial Laundry Units (Dryer). Operators may be trained cross-functionally to support any Assembly Line. Operators will be using wiring diagrams to wire up electrical panels. Using WCM related tools operators are required to have high standards for Quality and Safety while performing job related duties. Operators will use a variety of tools and equipment, and work as part of a team to accomplish daily targets.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):
Fasten or assemble Heavy and Large size parts using pneumatic tools
Interact and/or run heavy machinery
Operate electrical, hydraulic and air activated hand tools
Read and follow large schematics while assembling
Work in a team environment embedded in lean manufacturing methodology
Drive plant performance through Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics
Keep work area clean and organized
Area cleanliness for process flow improvement
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by area Supervisor or Department Manager
Must have the ability to bend, push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to continuously stand or walk during shift
Will climb ladders or work on elevated surface on occasional basis during shift
Will operate an overhead crane
Will use wiring diagrams to wire up electrical panels
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED
At least 18 years old
Able to operate power tools
Ability to read blueprints
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Effective communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years Electrical Panel Building
1+ years Reading Electrical Diagrams
1+ years Previous Assembly or Manufacturing Experience
1+ years experience in a continuous improvement environment
